Online Survivor 9 was played from January 17, 2005 to April 14, 2005. With the conclusion of Online Survivor All-Stars, many veteran OLS players announced retirement, ushering in a "new era" of the series. With this new era came a new set of rules, and many other changes in the game. No longer did I, the host, visit the tribal camp for any reason. All SP-Reward Challenges were conducted by the players themselves. In addition, inactive players faced a new automatic elimination rule, reminiscent of the official SURVIVOR rule which states that any player missing even one official event is eliminated. The new game format involved numerous other changes, all of which made the game much more authentic. As far as the game itself, it neither excelled nor failed. The addition of new players, each exhibiting new and interesting personalities, made this game a breath of fresh air. If you're looking for a solid, realistic Online Survivor game, you won't be disappointed.
